Get the bird’s eye view with UFO Parasail Kona!
Fly high in the sky with UFO Parasail Kona! Come check out the incredible aerial views of the Big Island with this peaceful and beautiful way to experience Hawaii.Departing from the Kailua Kona pier, you’ll enjoy easy boarding onto the parasail boat. The vessel is certified by the US Coast Guard to hold 12 guests, however, the boats often only take 6 to 8 guests and observers. That’s right! Non-flying observers can join in the fun as well!
UFO Parasail Kona flyers are given life jackets and time to easily step into their harnesses once onboard the boat. Next, you’ll move to the back of the boat where you’ll be hydraulically lifted up into the sky. You’ll feel a gentle pull upward as your crew releases the lines and throws your chute into the air while the boat gains speed. And just like that, you’re flying! You’ll continue to climb as the boat lets out more line. The lines are rigorously tested to hold up to 10,000 pounds of force, although usually only 800 pounds are used. Although it may look daunting from the shore, parasailing is a safe, peaceful and scenic way to see the island from a new perspective.
Fly alone, in tandem or as a triple! It’s great to fly with a friend so you have someone up there with you to point out the views! Enjoy a free fall feeling and even a dip if the conditions are right! You’ll float towards the water and plunge your toes and feet in the Pacific before being lifted back up to awesome heights. When your flight is over, you’ll make the smooth transition back to the boat feeling exhilarated! Watch as a few other couples or singles fly, and feel their excitement as they ride. After everyone has had a chance to fly or take photos, you’ll head back to the pier to disembark.
Make sure to have the crew take pictures with their top-of-the-line cameras. The SD card holds 25 photos, and it can be yours to take home! Prove to everyone at home and social media that you did it! When you visit Hawaii, you have to fly with UFO Parasail Kona!
