Your morning begins with a leisurely check-in at the Honokohau Marina. Here you’ll meet the crew and board their steady, strong, and comfortable catamaran. Built for daily sailing in the light Kona winds, this boat is the only one of its kind in these waters. The friendly and experienced crew will get you equipped and fitted with your snorkel sets. Their equipment even includes prescription masks for those of us that are nearsighted. Let the knowledgeable crew give you a few snorkel pointers and detailed instruction on how to use your gear properly.
Relax on your way to the Pawai Bay snorkeling destination; the boat is 22 feet wide, and provides great stability and plenty of shade. Feel free to relax on the netting (often called a “trampoline”) on the front of the boat. Watch the cool water flow by beneath you, as you soak in the Hawaiian sun.
When your boat arrives at the snorkel destination, you’re free to explore the area. Pawai Bay snorkeling is known for its excellent visibility and vibrant marine coral system. Keep your eyes open for the Hawaiian green sea turtles and spotted eagle rays along with big schools of tropical fish. Explore the nooks and crannies of the lava formations for critters and coral. The catamaran provides easy access to and from the water.
